Get to know Cairo from the perspective of the Islam world on this half-day tour. Visit Mohamed Ali Mosque, El Rifai Mosque, El Sultan Hassan Mosque, Al-Azhar, and El Hussein Mosques, and visit Khan Khalili Bazaar in Cairo.

Begin your tour with a visit the famous Citadel of Saladin, also known as the Citadel of Cairo, where you can visit the most famous mosque in Cairo which is Mohamed Ali`s mosque, one of Cairo’s most stunning mosques, is also referred to as the Alabaster Mosque because alabaster stone was used to cover its outside walls.

Then, Head to the famous Sultan Hassan Mosque, which dates back to the 13th century. It is the largest and most important mosque in Cairo. For instance, the mosque was intended to house educational facilities for each of the four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali.

Continuing in the historical traditions of Islamic Cairo, head to the famous Al-Rifa’i Mosque, which dates from around 1361, and was architecturally conceived as a complement to the older structure.

Next, Visit Al-Azhar Mosque, is a mosque in Cairo, Egypt in the historic Islamic core of the city. Commissioned by Jawhar al-Siqilli shortly after Cairo was established as the new capital of the Fatimid Caliphate in 970, it was the first mosque established in a city that eventually earned the nickname “the City of a Thousand Minarets”.

Later, Visit El Hussein Mosque in Cairo. Then toward a famous local bazaar, Khan el-Khalili. Khan el-Khalili is one of the world’s largest bazaars and offers a truly authentic local Cairo experience. Among the world’s oldest bazaars, dating back to 1382, Khan el-Khalili offers an experience unique to the old streets of Islamic Cairo.
