Day 1Marsa Alam - Aswan Attractions

Start your tour early in the morning with the pick-up at 5:00 at your hotel from Marsa Alam to Aswan by private air-conditioned vehicle.

Philae Temple
The Temple of Isis was originally located upon the island of Philae, which meant “the end” in Ancient Egypt language and marked the southernmost boundary of the historic nation. It was one of the last temples dedicated to the cult of Isis, who was worshipped for bringing her husband Osiris back to life.

The Unfinished Obelisk
The unfinished obelisk is the largest known ancient obelisk. The Unfinished Obelisk was discovered in the early twentieth century after it had been covered by sand for thousands of years. Three sides of the enormous shaft were completed when the masons discovered a crack in the granite and abandoned it, still half attached to the bedrock it was being carved from.

Lunch time
visit a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional lunch.

The High Dam
The Aswan High Dam, is one of the world’s largest embankment dams, which was built across the Nile in Aswan, between 1960 and 1970, with its ability to better control flooding, provide increased water storage for irrigation, and generate hydroelectricity.

At the end of the day, take dinner at the hotel. Enjoy a little rest and relax from the day.

Day 2Tour to Abu Simbel Temple

You will be picked up early in the morning from your hotel in Aswan at 04:30. The journey will be by air-conditioned vehicle from Aswan to Abu Simbel. It takes 3 hours by car to the temples of Abu Simbel to get there before the heat of the day.

Abu Simbel Temple

The Great Temple of Abu Simbel is among the most awe-inspiring monuments of Egypt. The enormous rock temple of Abu Simbel was built in the 13th century BCE during the reign of the 19th Dynasty Pharaoh Ramesses II. The temple is most well known for the four imposing seated colossal statues that dominate its façade.

The temple was built with such precision that on two days a year, the 22nd of February and 22nd of October, the sun’s rays enter the temple, cross the main hall, and illuminate the innermost statues.

Another rock-cut temple to the north, known as the Small Temple, is dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Ramesses II’s Great Royal Wife, Queen Nefertari.

Lunch will be served in Aswan before your drive back to Marsa Alam.
